Join us! Club volunteers are needed every third Friday following the regular Rotary meeting to make sandwiches for The Connection Cafe. The Connection Cafe serves lunch five days a week to homeless and low income individuals and families in downtown Des Moines. Learn more at their website https://theconnectioncafe.org/.

Join us at the Rollins Mansion social, Thursday, 1-29-2026, 4:30 - 6 PM, 2633 Fleur Drive, DM. "Plus ones" of Rotary members are welcome. Tours are available, and both levels are open to us. If there is interest, there will be a scavenger hunt on the main level at 5 pm. There is room for 20 cars in the closest lot, so double up and car pool with a friend. Overflow parking is available at the Italian American Cultural Center directly north of the Mansion via connecting driveway. Parking signs will be displayed. The facility is ADA accessible, but there is a specific route for those with limited mobility. Personal mobility assistance is available by calling Brianna Chonka, (515) 657-7288 in advance of the event. There is no elevator on site, but the second level is accessible by car from the drive. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres are graciously provided by the Mansion. Credit and debit cards (only) are accepted for beverages.

David Stark & Cole Coffin Overcoming Adversity Cole Coffin is a 26-year-old Des Moines, Iowa resident. He attended the University of Iowa and graduated with his bachelor’s degree in finance. Cole works for Holmes Murphy as a Property Casualty Client Executive since 2021. Cole’s family consists of Mom and Dad, Mary and Don, brothers, Chris and Atlias, sister, Caeli, fiancé’, Grace and dog best friend, Cooper. On top of Rotary, Cole is involved in Easterseals Iowa and the Iowa Adaptive Golf Association. When not working Cole enjoys, watching sports, vacations, golf, and music. David Stark is an Iowa native. Worked at UnityPoint Health since 1996,. He currently serves as the Foundation/Government Affairs Executive for UnityPoint Health and most recently served as President/CEO for UnityPoint Health - Des Moines. He received his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University in Management and his Master's in Healthcare Administration from the University of Iowa. Stark is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, serves on numerous local boards; been a member of DMAM for 25 years and is a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute.
