Our Purpose

The Rotary Club of DMAM is recognized as a 501(c)3. Rotary’s mission is Service Above Self.Everything we do is focused on helping those who are less fortunate and blessed than we are. Landscaping – we have worked on landscaping at the school

Bingo BASH

Our annual signature fundraising initiative was launched in 2022. Since then, we have raised over $120,000 in which net proceeds were distributed to 3 different nonprofits each year. See more about Bingo BASH here.

Connection Café

Once a month, we provide groceries, make sandwiches, deliver, and serve lunch for the homeless.

Meals from the Heartland

A volunteer program with a mission to provide meals to those malnourished, both locally and globally. Volunteers package meals to be disbursed to those in need.

We engage between 40-60 Rotarians, family members, and guests to package between 20,000 to 30,000 meals annually. This initiative provides meals for both local and international needs.

Annual Grant Program

Over the years, we have supported many special projects through our club’s annual grant program. Each year approximately, 12 – 15 local nonprofits were selected from grants submitted by members on behalf of the nonprofits. This program evolved into the Bingo BASH in 2022 in which the DMAM Foundation selected three nonprofits to benefit each year with a larger financial donation, to have a greater impact.

Harvest Academy

Worked with the Academy to provide manpower, mulch, and other supplies for landscaping projects. The Academy takes in men released from prison who have the desire for education to better prepare them for success in re-entering the community. The program has a good success rate, and former inmates living on the premises are assisted in every aspect of the project.

Polio Plus

DMAM has supported this Rotary International project for many years. While eradication is near complete, there are still pockets of polio in certain countries.

Uganda Maternal Health Clinic

Partnering with Rotary Club Kaampala South, we’ve supported Kikandwa Medical Clinic with vital resources – from dental care and immunizations to staff housing. Over 12 years, infant mortality dropped from 80% to under 10%. With over $160K raised and more grants in motion, we’re building toward lasting economic empowerment.
