Club Service
To ensure Friday meetings are welcoming to all who attend and are run efficiently, the members of this committee assist the members of the club in matters relating to Club Service, registering guests and visiting Rotarians, among other activities.
Community Service
This committee is dedicated to supporting the Rotary pledge of “Service Above Self” through active involvement and financial support of local community projects. Two examples of our Community Projects are: the Connection Café and our work with the Capital View School. They are actively involved in leveraging Rotary International and Rotary District grants that are of benefit to our community.
International Service
The International Committee has a dedicated focus to connecting with fellow Rotarians for the purpose of positively impacting the lives of others in less fortunate parts of the globe. This ideal is taken seriously by the Rotary Club of Des Moines AM with a goal to identify specific opportunities to build long-term relationships and self-sustaining efforts to serve those in our global community that are less fortunate with enhanced living conditions, educational opportunities, medical/dental facilities, housing, and micro-loan programs to provide economic opportunities.
